Trolley trains running in the southern side of Aso Gogaku are the trains for tourists to take them from Tateno Station to Takamori Station (17.7 km) for 1 hour.

These trains have an unusual structure with three special passenger coaches without windows on the either side of locomotive.

You can see spectacular views including mysterious valley and a range of mountains in Minami Aso. The huge scale of view overwhelms you.


This train will make you relax and enjoy a slow train ride while enjoying the mother nature in Aso.
Trolley trains run from March 5th to November 30th on every Saturday， Sunday and national holidays.

※Minami Aso Railway， which had been a whole line interruption because of the disaster by the Kumamoto earthquake in April 2016， from July 31， 2016， it becomes a part operation resumed.
