Eiyasan Jyonen Temple, Jyodo Shinsyu HonganTemple group.
It was opened by Dojyun in Kanei 15 (1638).
The plan of rebuilding the main sanctuary was started in Meiwa 8 (1771), and the temple was completed in October, Kansei 2 (1790).
There are seven rooms and 8 rooms which were made of cypress only. Lattice ceiling, round pillars, carved wooden panels has been preserved extremely well with supreme beauty of sculptures.
In Showa 42 (1967), the main sanctuary was renovated. Mainly, the straw-thatched roof was replaced to the modern sheet metals, and the interior was slightly repaired. In Syowa 60 (1985), the sheet metal roof was replaced to the tiled roof.
In the inner sanctum taking you to the mail hall with the tatami floor of the inside of main sanctuary, ”Amida Nyorai” as a the principal image is placed on the sophisticated chair in the middle of the inner sanctum, and it shines and sparkles with gold beautifully.
